These tree ferns were growing in amongst the Meleleucas at the edge of a creek. They are native to Queensland but have become a pest speciesin some Southern States and Hawaii which does not stop be loving them. They grow up to 15 feet.

About Denise Clark
I was a ceramic artist for twenty five years. However, health issues forced me to retire. I am also a keen gardener and the conviction grew that nothing I could create could equal the beauty shape and form of nature. Majestic Fern Tree! Love the fern plants, and I am glad to discover it as such a high grown tree :)

Thank you Zenya. Really appreciated. They are native to our area and I am trying to grow one without much success. I have seen a forest in Tasmania which is just tree ferns. It is quite eerie, you almost expect dinosaurs to emerge.
