This statue of Bhudda in our subtropical garden looks as if he is contemplating the Matchstick or Aechmea gamosepala bromeliad flowers. These bromeliads are native to Brazil and flowers in winter brightening up shady spots

About Denise Clark
I was a ceramic artist for twenty five years. However, health issues forced me to retire. I am also a keen gardener and the conviction grew that nothing I could create could equal the beauty shape and form of nature. Everyone sees differently, so I am hoping that the way I see the world through my lens will bring pleasure and joy to others. Hi Denise! This is really lovely, the flowers apparently a reflection of Buddha's bright joy......despite what seems to be an uncomfortable dermatological condition. I've seen flowers like this before, in tall spires, likely a different species, but have not succeeded in getting a pleasing image. I like yours a lot! And enjoyed reading your note! Cheers, Byron
