Once again I intended black and white architectural abstract but the beautiful autumn day and light blew me away with the colour. I don't know what this building is called but it is situated on the seafront at Broadbeach,Gold Coast Queensland. I spotted this angle when I was listening to the blues at their annual festival. It reminded me ofAustralian Artists Jeffrey Smart paintings and as his forte is hard edges.striking colour and usually a solitary human figure alienated in a man made landscape I left my figures on the balcony although they do not look alienated and there are two as they give a sense of scale

About Denise Clark
I was a ceramic artist for twenty five years. However, health issues forced me to retire. I am also a keen gardener and the conviction grew that nothing I could create could equal the beauty shape and form of nature.
