Thanks so much Michael. This brom.. Is my fav. It lights up all the greens and lasts such a long time. The leaves are grey as well so it is one of the few grey plants I can grow here.

Artist's Description

I am gaining much pleasure from watching this flower emerge a little further each day. Unlike many bromeliads which are usually brightly coloured, it is a delicate pink with greyish green striped leaves...it is one of my favourites and I think I like it better at this stage than fully in flower. I have nursed this plant for quite a few years, planting it in the garden, digging it up again when it didn't like that and potting it up and the shifting the pot around the garden to find the light it required. The sad part is, now that it is flowering, it will die but it does have a baby.
