Description
"Smoko" is Australian Slang for morning tea which is what this little guy is having at the Currumbin Sanctuary at the Gold Coast in South East Queensland. They are becoming endangered in South East Queensland through loss of habitat. The sanctuary has a wildlife hospital where they treated 8,000 wild animals in the last twelve months ranging from lizards,birds to animals.
over 700 Koalas were treated with problems from cars,dogs,and disease. Most of all these animals are returned to the wild when well enough.
All money from sale of this image will go directly to the Animal Hospital.

Denise! Koalas are my favorite animal. I have always been drawn to them. How fabulous to be able to photograph them. His morning tea will not perk him up, eucalyptus is more like a "Sleepy Time Tea!" You captured that look perfectly. After looking at your photography on your front page, I just love the artistry of your work. The composition, perspective, and your TITLES! Well done! Thank you so much Janet...One of my favourite books when growing up was "Blinky Bill" who was a very naughty Koala who got up to all sorts of mischief (that you wished you could do and get away with).
