Intresting to know about these trees Denise!

Denise Clark

Denise Clark

Thanks Lexa. They are not a native of Australia but they are one of the trees Brisbane City Council used as street trees. I think they have stopped now as the fallen seeds pods posed a bit of a slip hazard but round here they are pretty common. The bark is always changing...from observation it is not exactly seasonal but according to rainfall. The possums love the pods hence all the interesting scratches on the bark. all the best on your travels.

Artist's Description

This is a close up of leopard tree bark which I have not submitted before. Let's be honest here. I have been editing a lot of the images in my portfolio because I decided they needed more light. When I was editing a series from 2016, I saw possibilities with this image. I have turned ...like the other images, I have turned it on its side for composition purposes.

About Denise Clark

I was a ceramic artist for twenty five years. However, health issues forced me to retire. I am also a keen gardener and the conviction grew that nothing I could create could equal the beauty shape and form of nature. Everyone sees differently, so I am hoping that the way I see the world through my lens will bring pleasure and joy to others.
