Description
This Giant Banyan Fig is in Alice Street Brisbane emerging from the City Botanical Gardens. It is heading out from the gardens destroy the fence and is across the path and almost into the street. Their seeds are carried by fruit eating birds and lodge in nooks and crevices in the host tree and grow gradually overpowering and killing it. The host tree then rots leaving the banyan to grow and a hollow core which is good shelter for animals.
